It makes no sense to keep outdated stuff when you can use a much better and much more bug free version. About HS, if it works on RocketLauncher, it works on any frontend supported.
If something is not working on the frontend that the user chooses to use is because something related with their frontend settings is wrong. We are here to help with any doubt about that.
And now about the 3D view mode. I did not tested the SODA reader version, but I even added the instructions to change that option on the full program in the module notes that I posted in this thread. You could simply check if the reader has the same option at the same place and if it is true, most probably, the correct option is not being set on the program. If the option is not sticking on his computer even after correctly changing the option on the program, he must contact the soda developers as it has nothing to do with us.

Thanks for replying. Am I to understand that I shouldn't have installed just the free 3d reader version? It was about a 5. The reader has the 3d options in exactly the same place if not.
